$3,000 Water Ski

Gee, the day would have to come eventually. Only a couple years ago I would routinely get the top HO water ski on sale for a few hundred bucks. Then Goodecame out and upped the ante to a grand or better. Granted I have never skied on Goode skis, but what I’d read sounded, well, good, and I’ve used a pair of their pencil carbon snow ski poles for years and still absolutely love them.

Along comes the Warp 7 from Blue Sky Sports and trumps them all at $3,000. THREE THOUSAND! And that is without boots! I haven’t seen any reviews as the ski is very new. Unfortunately their website has almost no information, but there was a nice write up in May 2008 issue of Waterski Magazine about it (unfortunately in the hard-copy only, not on-line).

Built with the highest grade carbon fiber available, it has a hollow core, and is guaranteed not to flex. When I get back into water skiing, I’d love to test one of these puppies!
